Anyone 18 or older. Auto 1 Oil employees get referral bonuses through payroll instead — ask the office.

New customers only — a business that isn’t already buying from Auto 1 Oil. A business you add is yours for 60 days (one 30-day extension with our OK). Once they’re a customer, they stay yours until they go 90 days without an order. No referring yourself. A customer counts once their account is set up — every document in their new-customer packet is in — and we approve the referral.

Only one you’ve really worked on: a meeting, call, email or text with someone who makes its buying decisions. When you add it, you tell us who you talked to, their role, when and how, and the next step. Lists of names, directories and scraped contacts don’t count. A business you add is yours for 60 days while you work on it — we can extend it once by 30 days. If it isn’t a customer by then, the claim ends and you can’t add it again for 90 days. You can have up to 25 open claims at a time. If two people add the same business, the first valid claim wins — and if the business tells us who it worked with, that choice wins.

Their name (the business or the person), a phone number or email, and their address — plus who you talked to there, their role, when and how you talked, and the next step. A note helps too.

If they sign up with your link, they fill in their own contact info and their new-customer packet: a customer profile sheet, a W-9, a TC-721 if they’re tax-exempt, and a credit card or ACH authorization. Every document is required before we can set up their account.

1¢ a gallon of fuel and 10¢ a gallon of motor oil your customers buy, for their first 6 months. Fuel means diesel and gasoline.

A reward is earned when your customer pays for the order, and it keeps the rate in force that day — a later change never raises or lowers it. Orders that aren’t paid for yet earn at the rate in force when they’re paid.

Rewards are only sent once your customer pays — that keeps fraud out. After they pay, each reward waits a 30-day hold (refunds and credits come off it), then goes on your next payout once you have $25.00 or more ready. Payouts go out by ACH or check.

You’re paid as a 1099 contractor. QuickBooks (Intuit) emails you a secure W-9 link — your tax information is never stored on Auto 1 Oil’s software. We send a 1099-NEC when the law requires it (currently $2,000 or more in a year).

Yes. You get a notification (in the app and on your phone) when they sign up, when they place an order, when they pay, and when your payout goes out.
